Accommodation
Many people coming to Marxism choose to stay with friends in London.
We can find you somewhere to stay: this may be with political activists in London, or in a community centre. You may have to sleep on a sofa or the floor in someone's home: we provide sleeping mats in the community centres. If you have any particular needs - for example, if you are older or disabled - let us know as soon as possible and we will try and find something suitable. If you have children we will try and make sure you stay with people who have children themselves.
Hotels in central London are very expensive. University halls of residence have rooms for hire. We have also compiled a list of Youth Hostels and backpacker hostels.
Childcare
The Marxism creche is professionally run and cares for over 150 children. The creche is open during meetings and cares for children aged up to 11. If you need childcare, you must book by 17 June - we need to know how many children we're looking after!
Food and Drink
Hot meals and snacks are available in many places at Marxism. Several bars are also available. Some groups of people attending Marxism organise picnics so as to keep costs low.
Transport
Cheap travel is often organised for those travelling from outside London. Contact the Marxism office for more information.
You can probably save money by buying an "Oyster" card - this is often cheaper than paying cash. You can buy Oyster cards in tube stations.
For information about travel in London, see the Transport for London website.
Wheelchair Access
All the venues we use are wheelchair accessible.
Prayer Room
A prayer room will be available throughout the event.
